We stopped here to have a grilled steak. It was average to good. Kind 9f made you feel like you just had dinner at home. Steak, bake potato, corn, salad and a roll. I only gave it 3 stars because it was overpriced for the quality of the steak and such. Over all not bad though, just needs the price lowered.

This is the second steak restaurant I have been to in Dodge City and the better one by far. We started our meal off with the fried onion which was good better than other restaurants that do the same thing. We actually first saw the coupon in the magazine for a free onion with the purchase of two entrees. I had the Steak and shrimp which was good and cost $18.99. The shrimp tasted like some of the best I have had. All the food came out at about the same time which is impressive for a large group. The building is a little run down on the outside and needs some updating which it looks like is in work. The inside smelled old which is problem with Vinyl table clothes. For a large group our service was ok. Our Waitress was personable, but weirdly unsure of herself and had problems keeping our water glasses full. Additionally, she was very good with the children in our party. Despite the awkward ok service and old feeling of the restaurant I do recommend trying this place while in Dodge City.

Not sure why people keep eating here. Food was over priced and not that good. Started with the Cow Town Rose(bloomin onion) came out under cooked with the center raw. Ordered the daily "special" 22oz T-bone with a loaded baked potato for $25. It was 12oz at best and full of fat and gristle..potato was roughly the size of two golf balls..and the green beans were cold and seemed to be dumped straight from the can to the plate. Loaded baked potato came with butter and sour cream in packets similar to ketchup from a fast food joint. Service was ok but not great. $70 later my wife and I left with a stomach ache.

My family ate at Casey's Cowtown in July 2015, and found the restaurant to be average. There is a tasteful western theme decor. The staff were all very friendly. Our waiter was a young man, who was very nice, but needs to be more attentive to his customers. The portion size was small on all the food items, except for the steak which was large. The quality and taste of the food was average. I found it funny that a sit down restaurant would actually serve the sour cream in pre-packaged individual containers usually given with take-out. The prices were reasonable. Overall, we liked our meal but found the whole experience to just be average.

The steak was perfect and the baked potato was good but it is really hard to mess up baking a potato. The salad consisted of lettuce on a cold plate; so nothing hard about that. The restaurant was clean and it definitely had the cowboy atmosphere; photos, Buffalo, fake cow hide etc. it is the little things that would probably keep me from returning; sour cream in to go packages, a salad that is right out of a prepackaged bag, no doors on the bathroom stalls. ... When you play $20 up for a good steak you expect a upscale atmosphere to complement the night.

Love the meat there! We drove through Dodge City during snow and ice storm just started. And we were very hungry. Of course, we searched a place to eat by using Yelp app and we didn't regret for this one at all. I was kind of mix in mind about this place. I might not do the romantic date with someone there. But I would go there to enjoy a quality cook of meat. We needed big piece of meat and Casey's did't upset us. The meat there was cooked so good!!

Do you like lackluster service, and overpriced food served fresh from the freezer? If so, this is the place for you. We went because of the 4 star rating on here, but in my opinion it's below average. Nothing special or of quality here as far as food is concerned.

During our travels through Kansas, we decided to stop at this restaurant for lunch while passing thru Dodge City based on previous Yelp reviews. We are so glad we did! This restaurant opens at 11 AM (despite what yelp says). We were the only customers there and received outstanding service by our waitress named Elizabeth! Because we were in "Cow Town", we had to try their steaks. I ordered the Dodge city strip, while my husband ordered the sirloin. Both were perfectly cooked with outstanding flavor! Each meal came with a house salad and your choice of potato and a vegetable. A very hearty lunch indeed! Met the owners of this fine steakhouse. They were so kind and welcoming! My husband and I highly recommend this establishment if you're looking for an outstanding steak meal!

Loved the atmosphere, very cute much like you would expect from a place in Dodge City Kansas. Western themed. Had to wait about ten minutes to be seated and only then because we called the establishment and told them we were waiting to be seated. Food was average. Price, selection, and quality average. But LOVED the Decore. Service was fast and friendly.

Don't bother. Canned corn, awful baked potatoes & meat that's not up to Denny's standards. A real disappointment.

Stopped here based on reviews from other Yelpers. Ribeye was well prepared and did indeed taste very fresh. Service was fast, good choice and prices of beers. The decor was western and charming for its style. The owner and server were both very friendly. We would return here again if we are again in Dodge City. Just wish we were here on a Friday or Saturday when they serve prime rib.

I am from out of state and I wanted to grab a steak with my aunt and father. I also had my retired service dog from the Marine Corps with me. I went in to see if I could get a table and asked for outdoor seating as I had my dog with me. The owner stated I could bring the dog in because of his service...so I got him a steak too. The service from Brenda was amazing, a few other members of the staff stopped by to welcome us as well. Everyone was so kind and genuine. The incredible part was the price, I have been to great steakhouses all over the country and this seemed like a steal for what we paid. I highly recommend you stop in and see them, you will not be disappointed at all.

Being just a few short blocks from the Dodge City National Beef plant I was expecting a good steak and I wasn't disappointed. My first impression was the decor which is a western theme. The inside of the restaurant was clean and I felt like I had walked into the old west. Everything fit the theme right down to the cowhide looking tablecloths. I ordered the Large "Dodge City" Strip with ranch dressing on the salad. The ranch was nice and thick and to me tasted like it was made on fresh. The bread basket is also full of extra butter and sour cream. For my potato I got the mashed potatoes which were good, I always enjoy them with a little skin mixed in. The downside was the vegetable which was just plain corn. It didn't have much flavor and was disappointing. Overall it was a good experience and the meat made up for the uninspiring side.

Cowtown is still the go-to place for both casual and 'dining out' dining. The food is pretty good, and if you're looking to see tons of western memorabilia this is the place. It can be a bit 'kitschy' for my tastes, but I remember it from years ago when it was more classy and less touristy. In a world where restaurants rarely last, let alone thrive, the owner Mike has done a good job since opening in late 1996.

classy gem on the outskirts of dodge. the owner is quite pleasant to talk to and the food was great

Best steaks in Dodge City, We've eaten there quite a few times and never had bad food or service. Mike the owner is hands on all the time, and walks around and talks to the guests, he is not above cleaning a table or seating guests either. Very nice and friendly place to eat. No recommendations as everything we've eaten there is delicious

We went there the end of June 2012 on a 110 degree day. Great food relaxing atmosphere and wonderful hospitality with personal attention from the owner. If we ever get back to Dodge we'll be back.

You'd think Dodge City would have a great steakhouse. If they do, this isn't it. The meals were pretty expensive and the steaks were just ok. Plus, the sides were what you would get at a KBob's--dry baked potato with sour "creme" and margarine packets, canned green beans and prepackaged rolls. Even the fries were industrial. This would only have been barely worth it for half the price.
